Neustadt am Kulm
Das wohl bekannteste Ausflugsziel Neustadts ist der
682 Meter hohe Rauhe Kulm
mit seinem
25 Meter hohen
Aussichtsturm
, durch den man einen herrlichen Blick über
die Gegend hat. Der Vulkan, der nie zum Ausbruch kam,
ist etwa 21 Millionen Jahre alt. Der Rauhe Kulm ist seit 1949
als Naturdenkmal geschützt und Teil des Naturparks Nörd-
licher Oberpfälzer Wald. Besuchen sollte man außerdem die
wunderschöne barocke

on its top with a marvelous view of the region. The
volcano, which never erupted, is about 21 million years old.
The mountain Rauher Kulm has been protected as a natural
monument since 1949 and is part of the Northern Upper
Palatinate Forest Nature Park. Worth visiting are also the
